Position SummarySerenaGroup® is seeking a Principal Investigator to join our team in a part-time capacity in Akron, Ohio. This role is ideal for a qualified clinical leader who is passionate about advancing wound care through high-quality clinical research and patient-centered care.
The Principal Investigator will lead wound care clinical trials, treat wound care patients, ensure regulatory and GCP compliance, and collaborate closely with sponsors and research teams. This individual will also contribute to publications and clinical outcomes that support innovation in wound healing and tissue repair.
Key Responsibilities- Lead wound care clinical trials from study initiation through completion
- Treat wound care patients in accordance with clinical best practices
- Ensure compliance with GCP, protocol requirements, and applicable regulatory standards
- Collaborate with sponsors, site staff, and research teams to support successful study execution
- Maintain high standards of data quality, patient safety, and research integrity
- Contribute to publications, clinical outcomes, and advancement of wound care research
- MD, DO, DPM, or APP required
- Experience in wound care required
- Clinical research experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Working knowledge of GCP, regulatory compliance, and clinical trial processes
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and research partners
- Commitment to ethical research standards, patient safety, and clinical excellence
