Job Summary:
The Port Potomac Homeowners Association seeks a dedicated and reliable individual to fill the position of Grounds Attendant. This role involves maintaining the cleanliness and aesthetic appeal of the community by ensuring that trash is properly collected and disposed of. The Grounds Attendant will work closely with the Assistant Manager and General Manager to support the overall maintenance and presentation of the community.
Responsibilities:
1. Trash Collection & Disposal:
- Empty all trash canisters throughout the Port Potomac community.
- Prepare trash bins for collection on designated garbage collection days (Mondays and Thursdays).
- Ensure all trash is collected around the HOA clubhouse, including both front and back areas.
2. Community Maintenance:
- Perform routine checks around the community to identify and address any litter or waste issues.
- Coordinate with the Assistant Manager and General Manager to report and resolve maintenance concerns.
3. Support to Community Events:
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of community events as needed.
- Provide additional support for special projects or seasonal maintenance tasks.
4. Communication & Coordination:
- Work in coordination with the Assistant Manager to fill in gaps and complement their responsibilities.
- Communicate effectively with residents and HOA staff to address concerns related to community cleanliness and maintenance.
5. Other Duties:
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the General Manager.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in groundskeeping, janitorial services, or a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and take initiative in maintaining community standards.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
- Good physical condition, as the role may involve lifting and moving trash bins and other items.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude towards community service.
