This position will report to the Technology Program Manager and focus on the delivery of projects for the firm. This position will work directly with business partners within Sequoia departments and IT in the discovery, execution, and implementation of new or enhanced functionality that improves the user experience of both internal and external customers, helping to facilitate the client experience and grow our company in the industry. Responsibilities
- Gathers business requirements to aid in the development and modification of applications through various methods of solicitation
- Author thorough and detailed documentation of all aspects of the systems in question, including business requirements, non-functional requirements, use cases, training content and business system concept documents in the form of mature user stories and acceptance criteria
- Interviews end users to determine requirements for data, reports and analyses, training, data quality, and performance.
- Proactively escalate risks and propose solutions
- Develops and maintains knowledge of business department processes, including training content
- Acts as a liaison between business and technology
- Establish collaborative relationships with key business partners and project team members
- Lead testing phase of the project from development of functional requirements and test plans, securing testing resources, execution of functional and user acceptance test cases, and defect management
- Lead with the business to develop functional specifications, create test cases, execute functional testing prior to UAT, and facilitate user acceptance testing
- Prepares analysis and inputs for training, production support of applications and associated documentation
- Partner with training and internal communication to capture stakeholder analysis, communication and training plan s
- May be needed to support the maintenance and monitoring of the product roadmap and backlog
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills with the ability to translate the analysis into actionable tasks
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to resolve complex problems
- Able to author high-quality documentation, including business and functional requirements, user stories, test plans and test cases.
- Experience independently managing requirements and demonstrate a results-driven approach to supporting clients across multiple businesses and locations
- Understanding project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile) principles and planning
- Must possess a strong initiative and a get-it-done attitude
- Bachelor's degree required; IT or related technical field is preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with Salesforce requirements documentation, including user stories, process flows, and functional specifications
- Understanding of design thinking and agile product development
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Slack, Asana, as well as Lucidchart
- Works well within fast paced team environment
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Self-starter to independently work on projects
