The Role

We're hiring a Business Development Representative to drive a net-new pipeline through outbound prospecting. You'll be the first voice prospects hear from Sequifi, researching target accounts, running multichannel outbound, and booking qualified meetings for our Account Executives. This is a pure outbound role: you'll own the top of the funnel and your work directly fuels every dollar of new revenue we close.


This is an in-office role in Lehi, Utah. We believe BDRs ramp faster, coach better, and win more when they're in the room with their teammates and AEs. Most sales learnings happen through osmosis, hearing the conversations your teammates are having.


What You'll Do

  • Run high-volume outbound prospecting. Cold calls, personalized emails, and LinkedIn outreach to decision-makers (CFOs, COOs, VPs of Sales, Heads of Operations) at companies in our target verticals.
  • Build and work targeted account lists. Research ICP-fit companies, identify the right contacts, and develop a point of view on why each one is a fit for Sequifi before you reach out.
  • Book qualified meetings for Account Executives. Run sharp discovery conversations, uncover pain (broken comp plans, manual payroll, growing headcount), and hand off opportunities that turn into real pipeline.
  • Hit and exceed weekly and monthly activity and meeting targets. You'll have clear KPIs: calls, emails, meetings booked, SQLs, pipeline generated; and we'll coach you against them.
  • Own your CRM hygiene. Log every touch, every conversation, every next step in HubSpot. Clean data is non-negotiable.
  • Partner closely with your AEs. Brief them before meetings, share intelligence from your conversations, and learn from every demo and discovery call they run.
  • Feed back the field. What's landing? What's not? Which verticals are heating up? You'll be one of our best signals on what the market is telling us.


What You Bring

  • 0–2 years of professional sales experience. SDR/BDR experience at a B2B SaaS company is a plus, but not required. We've hired strong BDRs from D2D sales, hospitality, fitness, real estate, and other high-volume customer-facing roles.
  • Comfort on the phone. You're not afraid of cold calls, you're energized by them. You can hold a conversation with a CFO and not get rattled when someone pushes back.
  • Strong written communication. You can write a cold email that gets opened and replied to, not deleted.
  • Coachability. You take feedback well, run with it, and come back better the next day. The reps who win here are the ones who keep getting better.
  • Resilience and work ethic. Outbound is hard. Most days you'll hear "no" more than "yes." You stay positive, stay on the phones, and keep going.
  • Process and organization. You can manage 70 touches per day across multiple channels without dropping the ball.
  • Goal-oriented. You like having a number to hit and you like beating it.



Nice to Have

  • Experience selling to or working in commission-heavy verticals (mortgage, solar, fiber, roofing, or other home services)
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or sales engagement tools (Apollo, Clay, other data tools)
  • Exposure to AI-assisted prospecting and call intelligence tools
  • Understanding of how sales commissions, payroll, or comp plans actually work
