Job Summary
The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth of clutch and brake products by developing new business opportunities and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. This role involves regular travel to customer sites, understanding application needs, and delivering solutions that align with customer requirements while providing exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territory
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Meet with customers on-site to understand application requirements and recommend appropriate products
- Gather and evaluate technical application information to determine product suitability or new product opportunities
- Prepare and present quotes, pricing, and terms; follow up to secure orders
- Address and overcome customer objections (technical and commercial)
- Coordinate with internal engineering and operations teams to ensure accurate product solutions
- Provide product demonstrations and presentations as needed
- Track and manage sales pipeline, quotes, and follow-ups
- Ensure timely communication regarding order status, lead times, and product information
- Follow up on orders to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction
- Respond to inbound sales inquiries from website, advertising, and other sources
- Maintain accurate records in CRM/ERP systems
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and activity updates for management
- Travel regularly within assigned territory
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Sales, or related field preferred; or 5–10 years of equivalent experience
· Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in industrial or technical products
· Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand customer applications
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
· Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
· Experience with CRM and ERP systems is a plus

Pay: $75,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
