What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Assembler position at SEPAC?
Summary: Assembles a variety of parts made of various materials to produce clutches/brakes/associated components. Performs evaluation/acceptance test and all necessary final inspections on products. Works with product and manufacturing engineering personnel as necessary to develop and test new processes/product designs, according to customer specifications.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
· Assembles products in accordance with blueprints/methods/specifications
· Adjusts/aligns parts to maintain specified air gap/dimensional/performance characteristics
· Solders wire connections/terminals
· Cleans parts with liquid cleaner/air hoses/cloth
· Tests electric circuits for resistance/current, etc.
· Measures/adjusts torque/performs performance tests/leak tests/endurance tests
· Performs basic manufacturing processes such as turning/milling/drilling as necessary to assemble/disassemble products
· Assembles parts using hand tools/arbor presses/hydraulic presses, etc.
· Uses micrometers/calipers/oscilloscopes/voltmeters to measure output/inspect dimensional characteristics
· Operates bench/engine dynamometers to evaluate product performance
· Inspects returned product to identify problems/repair requirements
· Performs routine preventative maintenance activities on shop equipment as required
· Maintains organized work and plans out tasks to ensure customer specifications and deliveries are met
· Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- 5 years experience in production assembler capacity
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
