Position Overview
The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure a high-quality dining experience for guests, efficient and profitable business performance, and a safe, positive work environment for staff. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and customer service skills, along with a focus on operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, food safety, and health regulations.
- Manage opening and closing procedures, including inventory checks, cash handling, and staff assignments.
- Monitor food quality to maintain brand standards.
- Ensure the restaurant is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
Staff Leadership & Development
- Recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house and back-of-house staff.
- Schedule shifts to optimize labor costs and meet business needs.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive team culture that promotes engagement and productivity.
Customer Service
- Ensure all guests receive prompt, friendly, and professional service.
- Resolve customer complaints and service issues effectively.
- Maintain a visible presence on the floor during peak service hours.
Financial Management
- Monitor and control operating costs, labor expenses, and waste.
- Track sales performance, prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports, and identify improvement opportunities.
Compliance & Safety
- Enforce adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain compliance with licensing, labor laws, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar hospitality role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of food service operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and inventory management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines (e.g., ServSafe certification preferred).
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
