What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Engineering Intern position at SEOLTA HOLDINGS LLC?
As a Manufacturing/Engineering Intern here at Seolta, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and contribute to at least one project within our manufacturing and engineering teams. You will work closely with experienced professionals and learn about all aspects of manufacturing, engineering, and sales to develop a standard owner’s manual. This internship will give you valuable insights into manufacturing, engineering and sales in boat manufacturing and help you develop essential skills for your future career.
Role and Responsibilities
- In this intern role, your primary responsibility will be to complete an owner’s manual for each boat type. A draft exists for two models and will be reviewed and edited to completion and sign off for disbursement to owners.
- Completing the manuals will require collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and sales to ensure that all content is practical information providing good guidance for the owners in operating their boats.
- Engineering will provide knowledge of each boat and technical support as well as access to schematics and blueprints. Manufacturing and Sales will be your resource for understanding the features of each model and giving you a sense of experience from the customers’ viewpoint.
- Maintain and build trusted relationships with key stakeholders, management team, and employees.
- Must be currently pursuing an associate degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering, or similar field.
- Must continue enrollment in degree program upon completion of the internship. Validated academic excellence (3.0 GPA and higher)
- Must be able to excel at strategic thinking, be open to new perspectives and better ways to do things; and be creative, a visionary, and manage innovation well.
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
