Summary
The Director of Fleet Maintenance is responsible for leading all aspects of Sentinel's fleet maintenance, with primary oversight of maintenance management, equipment specifications and builds, asset disposal, and vendor partnerships. The Director of Fleet Maintenance ensures fleet reliability, safety, and operational readiness while aligning maintenance strategy with broader company objectives.
Requirements | Skills and/or Experience
- Minimum of 5 years or more working experience at a director level or higher in the transportation equipment maintenance industry
- Extensive experience in the purchasing and maintenance of transportation related equipment, including the management of relationships with equipment vendors and suppliers
- Demonstrated knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and other regulations related to the transportation of chemicals and petroleum products
- Expertise in the management of safety requirements, regulatory standards, operating procedures, and preventative maintenance protocols within the transportation industry
- Ability to communicate with individuals and groups in a range of settings, using a mix of verbal and written communication styles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required for the role
- Experience with safety software platforms required
- Experience with P&L as it relates to repair and maintenance
Requirements | Education / Certificate / License
Bachelor's Degree desired, preferably within an area related to engineering, logistics, supply chain management or related.
ASE certification preferred.
