Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse in the Main Operating Room for a Full Time, Day shift position in Charlottesville, VA. This position has required call.
This position offers a 4 ten-hour shift schedule with required call. The call schedule is 1 day per week and one weekend per month from 7P to 7A.

Sentara Martha Jefferson Main OR:
Performing an average of 7,000 cases each year, the Operating Room at SMJH has 8 OR suites and offers a variety of service lines including Complex GYN, Neurosurgery, Vascular/Thoracic and Orthopedic surgery. It is also the 2nd highest-performing OR in the Sentara system for Orthopedic total joint procedures.

Education
- Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
- Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
- Registered nursing License (Required)
- ACLS required within 1 year of hire.
- PALS within 1 year of hire.
- BLS required within 90 days of hire
- Scrub and circulator experience in an OR.
- Candidates who have completed a PeriOp 101 program.
- Candidates who have previous Operating Room Experience
- Manages complex cases in fast-paced environments
- Communication with patients and providers
