Overview:
Sentara Virginia Beach - Pritikin Intensive Cardiac and Vascular Rehabilitation Clinic. is hiring a Dietitian
The Dietitian’s responsibilities include as follows:
Monday: One-on-one appointments that include assessing patients’ current diet and give recommendations and goals aligned with the Pritikin diet.
Wednesday: Every third Wednesday, the dietitian will present a Pritikin produced lecture/discussion. Other Wednesdays the dietitian may support other cardiac rehab sites, remotely, for one-on-one appointments otherwise will follow-up with patients and have admin time to revise/improve/promote the program.
Friday: Each week, the dietitian will conduct cooking school which includes preparing Pritikin recipes for each group of patients throughout the day (Serve safe certification will be required if offered position) and give food prep tips and general dietary information based on the recipes for that week.
Upon hiring, the dietitian will receive training through the Pritikin site representative.
Requirements:
BLS is required to be obtained within 90 days of hire.
Registered Dietitian (RD) must be obtained within 6 months of hire. Verification statements required for those candidates awaiting RD credentialing.
If Bachelor's Degree is in major other than Dietetics, must complete an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics
