Job Overview
Sentara is hiring a Full-time Inpatient Pharmacy Technician at Sentara RMH in Harrisonburg, VA.
$5,000 Sign-On Bonus for Qualified Candidates!
Location: Harrisonburg, VA- Sentara RMH Hospital
Status: Full Time (36 hrs/wk)
Shift: Rotating (8 hour shift)
Hours: 6am-11pm* (occasional overnight coverage)
Weekends: Every 4th Weekend
Holiday Rotation
- Hours may vary to meet pharmacy staffing needs.

Pharmacy Technicians perform care delivery and dispensing under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist or licensed independent practitioner.
Fills and delivers medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist/licensed independent practitioner
Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care
Triages and escalates any questions or issues outside the pharmacy technician's scope of practice as needed
Uses appropriate systems for processing patient information
Ensures quality assurance is maintained according to departmental and legal requirements
Operates pharmacy equipment appropriately

A pharmacy technician license is required in the state of practice
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Certification/Licensure
Virginia Pharmacy Tech License (Required)
CPhT License (Received through the NHA or PTCB) (Preferred)
Experience
Previous Pharmacy Experience (preferred)
