Overview:
Sentara Cardiology Specialists is now seeking a Full-Time Echocardiographer.
Position Status: Full-time, Day Shift
Position Location: APS Cardiology Elizabeth City, NC
Standard Working Hours: 7:30 AM - 4: 00 PM, Monday - Friday
An Echocardiographer, also known as a cardiac sonographer, specializes in performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations of the heart. These professionals work closely with cardiologists to evaluate heart structures, functions, and blood flow, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular conditions.
Performs two dimensional echocardiograms, Doppler echocardiograms, transesophageal echocardiograms and pharmacological stress echocardiograms to evaluate heart and vessel abnormalities for the evaluation of heart disease and blood flow abnormalities. Completes the technologist report in the structured report application. Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program (or equivalent education) in accordance with IAC Guidelines. Adult echocardiography registry (RCCS or RCS or RDCS) within in 12 months of hire.
BLS Certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
