Electronics Sorting & Dismantling - Warehouse Associate

About the Position

Sensible Recycling is hiring a dependable, hands-on employee to sort and dismantle electronics and recyclable materials in our warehouse.

You’ll help separate incoming materials, take apart equipment, and organize recovered components for further processing and recycling. This position is a good fit for someone who enjoys physical work, using tools, and learning how equipment comes apart.

Responsibilities

• Sort incoming electronics, equipment, and materials into the correct categories.
• Dismantle computers, servers, printers, and other electronics using appropriate hand and power tools.
• Separate metals, circuit boards, wire, plastics, and other components according to company procedures.
• Identify items that require special handling and follow instructions for batteries, data-bearing devices, and other sensitive materials.
• Keep bins, pallets, and work areas organized and properly labeled.
• Follow material tracking procedures and record required information.
• Maintain a steady pace while meeting quality and safety expectations.
• Use required protective equipment and report hazards, damaged tools, or unsafe conditions.
• Help move materials and assist with other warehouse duties as needed.

• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn material categories.
• Attention to detail when sorting and separating materials.
• Comfort using basic hand and power tools safely.
• Ability to stay productive working independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to perform physical warehouse work, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving materials throughout the shift.

Experience in warehouse work, recycling, dismantling, construction, or mechanical work is helpful. A willingness to learn and a consistent work ethic are important.
