The IT Director, Corporate Functions and Engineering is accountable for defining, delivering, and optimizing Sensata’s enterprise application and engineering systems landscape across both Global Support Operations (GSO) functions and Engineering. This role drives end-to-end digital transformation across Finance, HR, Legal, Corporate Communications, and Engineering by modernizing platforms, enabling integrated data flows, and establishing a scalable digital backbone that supports both enterprise operations and product innovation and development.

General Responsibilities

  • Directs the activities related to Information Technology in the company, involving the definition, development, maintenance and operation of technology
  • Advises on the selection of hardware, software and supplies
  • Oversees and determines timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages
  • Oversees and reports on allocation of IT budget
  • Directs team and overall IT business operations to achieve company goals
  • Transparently communicating throughout the IT organization and business
  • Identify areas of improvements and concerns and accordingly develop action plans

Experience / Qualifications

  • A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • Communication - Ability to communicate effectively by getting the right message across to the right people at the right time on a regular basis

  • Budget Management - Ability to project and present annual operation Expense and Capital budget in departmental budget process

Additional Responsibilities:

Transformation & Program Delivery

  • Define and execute a multi-year roadmap spanning enterprise applications and engineering systems, including ERP, HCM, CLM, PLM, and Digital Thread capabilities.
  • Lead large-scale transformations from legacy platforms to modern, cloud-based solutions.
  • Establish an integrated digital ecosystem connecting business operations with product development and lifecycle processes.

Platform & Application Ownership

  • Own the enterprise application portfolio across Finance, HCM, Legal, Corporate Communications, and Engineering/PLM systems.
  • Ensure end-to-end ownership of business processes and engineering data flows including product data, BOM, engineering changes, and NPI lifecycle.

Business Partnership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to GSO and Engineering leadership.
  • Translate business and product strategies into prioritized technology investments and roadmaps.
  • Facilitate alignment across stakeholders globally.

Architecture, Security & Compliance

  • Ensure applications align with enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, IP protection, and regulatory requirements.
  • Define future-state architecture and proactively manage technical debt.

Operational Excellence

  • Own lifecycle management, system stability, and performance.
  • Establish KPIs for adoption, data quality, and value realization. Manage vendor relationships and service performance.

Delivery & Governance

  • Oversee program and project delivery including implementations, upgrades, integrations, and decommissioning.
  • Establish governance frameworks for demand, change, and risk management.

People & Leadership

  • Lead and develop global IT teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement while leveraging external partners effectively.

Additional Qualifications:

  • 12 years of IT experience with leadership across enterprise applications or engineering systems.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP, HCM, CLM, PLM, and digital transformation programs.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in manufacturing industries and integrating business systems.
  • Hands-on leadership of enterprise transformation programs.

Base Salary Range:

$179,600.00 - $246,950.00
