We welcome talented individuals from diverse backgrounds who are inspired by our mission and motivated to make a positive impact in people’s lives.

Program Overview

Under the direction of the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL), the Consortium for Worker Education (CWE) will develop and implement a network of NYC workforce service providers offering job training, credentialing, and job placement services to approximately 2,400 young workers.

At least 75% of participants will be out-of-school, unemployed, or underemployed young adults residing in zip codes impacted by high rates of gun violence. This initiative treats gun violence as a public health crisis, combining short-term solutions with long-term, community-based intervention and prevention strategies. A key prevention strategy focuses on providing access to and readiness for meaningful career pathways.
