This role is critical to ensuring the uptime and reliability of all production equipment within our 80,000 sq. ft. facility, including an extruder, RF welders, rotational molding ovens, foam presses, CNCs, and other essential assets. Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Development
- Supervise and mentor a team of 5 maintenance technicians.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Provide technical guidance and training to enhance team capabilities.
- Oversee all critical equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Lead troubleshooting and emergency repairs, including off-hours response as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment history and performance metrics.
- Plan, schedule, and execute a comprehensive preventative maintenance strategy.
- Ensure compliance with OEM recommendations and internal standards.
- Continuously improve PM procedures to reduce reactive maintenance.
- Partner with production teams to ensure seamless manufacturing continuity.
- Collaborate on root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring issues.
- Support new equipment installations and commissioning.
- Identify and resolve safety hazards related to equipment and infrastructure.
- Participate in CI initiatives to improve equipment performance and operational efficiency.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Journeyman Electrician or Millwright certification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in industrial maintenance, preferably in plastics or manufacturing.
- Proven leadership experience managing maintenance teams.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with CMMS systems and maintenance planning tools.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Professional, positive attitude with a business-partner mindset.
