Would you like to make a real difference for older adults and people with disabilities? SeniorsPlus has an immediate opening for a full-time Nutrition Supervisor working in the Jay Distribution Center.
The Nutrition Supervisor will supervise, manage, and participate in the delivery of home delivered meals, congregate, and voucher programs for Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford counties. This position will ensure a high level of food quality, safety and sanitation is maintained according to agency, state, and industry standards.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide supervision to the Jay distribution-based staff and volunteers
- Supervise, manage, and participate in the assessment process for determining eligibility of clients who apply for home delivered meals, and the delivery of meals using the agency determined database.
- Train assessment staff in the process of completing Release of Information, sending denial or close-out letters when appropriate and completing discharges.
- Responding to clients and providing applicable information.
- Document any changes to client’s meals and/or meal delivery and ensure appropriate information is communicated to drivers and kitchen staff. Ensuring appropriate documentation in WellSky.
- Coordinating assessors and driver’s schedules and assigning staff and/or volunteers to ensure all routes are covered daily.
- Assisting with meal delivery setup and delivery as necessary. Communicate information daily to the kitchen for start-up of meals or delivery changes.
- Regularly reviewing daily routes for changes and/or new MOW consumers
- Collaborate with fiscal department to ensure all vehicles are registered, inspected, and insured.
- Maintaining knowledge of best practices and client confidentiality.
- Performing other tasks or projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years’ experience in employee supervision is required.
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong organizational skills
- Skills in Microsoft office and database software required
- Maine Driver’s License with good driving record
- Proof of Motor Vehicle Liability Insurance
- Safe Serv training (Employer will provide)
- Must pass a driver's license, reference, and criminal conviction background check for any offer of employment.
Benefits, Schedule and Pay:
- The position is Monday through Friday with no nights or weekends.
- Thirteen paid holidays and generous Earned Benefit Time in addition to health, dental, 403 B, and short-term disability round out our benefits package.
- $21.30 to $23.99/hour (based on qualifications and experience)
