We're seeking a compassionate and caring Personal Care Aide (PCA) to join our team. As a PCA, you'll play a vital role in assisting our residents with activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living, promoting independence and dignity while providing personalized care.
About the Role:
Provide assistance with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and ambulation
Assist with meals, hydration, and snacks per individualized plans
Encourage participation in recreational and social activities
Maintain a clean, safe environment; promptly report maintenance or safety issues
Document care provided in electronic or paper records per policy
Observe and report changes in residents' physical, mental, or emotional status to supervisor
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completion of state-approved personal care training program or willing to complete upon hire
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
Experience in long-term care or assisted living preferred
Demonstrates patience, empathy, and respect for older adults
Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs; frequent standing and walking
Able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Demonstrate compassion, integrity, and reliability in all duties
