Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled part-time handyman with bathroom remodeling experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of home renovations and installations, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general bathroom remodeling and bathroom fixture installation (e.g., grab bars, ADA toilets, fixtures, wheelchair ramps, railings, basic carpentry, minor plumbing, etc.)
- Complete safety modifications to improve accessibility and prevent falls
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring residents and families feel comfortable and informed
- Follow company and project standards to ensure consistent quality
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a handyman, residential construction worker or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of basic renovations, tools, and safety practices
- Must have own set of tools, a reliable working truck and valid drivers license
- Willing to travel to nearby, rural, underserved counties
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work with hand and power tools
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must pass a Level 2 background check prior to employment
- Must have active, independent General Liability insurance
- Professional, courteous, and trustworthy
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with seniors or in healthcare-related environments a plus
- Knowledge of ADA and accessibility modifications
Schedule & Pay:
- Contracted, pay per project
