Job Overview
Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Monitor and observe patients’ health status, including vital signs and overall well-being
- Administer medications as prescribed and document medication administration accurately
- Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers safely
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a caring environment
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary, ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment
- Document patient care activities accurately using Electronic Health Record (EHR) or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems
Skills
- Experience working with people with disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or in hospice environments is a plus
- Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems for documentation purposes
- CPR certification required; additional certifications such as medication administration or dementia training are advantageous
- Ability to work independently while following care plans and protocols
- Physical stamina to assist with mobility tasks and perform light housekeeping duties effectively
