Maintenance Repair Technician
Location: Syracuse, NY

Schedule: 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
Compensation: $34.86/hour (Approx. $72,508 annually)

Position Overview
Eaton’s ES GEIS CHD division is seeking a skilled Maintenance Repair Technician (CNC) to join our team in Syracuse, New York. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining CNC and other manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Tear down, repair, and reassemble electrical and mechanical components following safety and maintenance standards.
- Diagnose machine malfunctions, determine root causes, and perform necessary repairs using mechanical and electrical theory.
- Adjust equipment to required specifications and verify operational effectiveness.
- Read and interpret complex schematic diagrams, manuals, blueprints, and test procedures.
- Perform electrical testing and troubleshoot defective printed circuit boards.
- Apply knowledge of PLC logic, industrial motor controls, hydraulics, and CNC systems.
- Report unusual conditions or equipment issues to supervision and recommend corrective action.
- Perform related electrical or mechanical duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing maintenance experience or a related technical degree with one (1) year of relevant experience.
- Experience with ladder logic circuit diagrams, industrial motor control schematics, and blueprint reading.
- Authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- CNC maintenance experience.
- Background in machining and electrical equipment repair.
- Associate degree in electronics or military electronics training.
- Experience working with hydraulics and mechanical systems.
Skills & Certifications
- Three years of manufacturing maintenance experience (or equivalent degree/experience combination).
- Proficiency with ladder logic circuit diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with CNC maintenance and troubleshooting.
