What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregivers Wanted – Join a Team That Values You position at Senior Helpers?
Are You a Caregiver Who Loves Making a Difference?
Turn your compassion into a career with purpose.
At Senior Helpers of Silver Spring, you'll do more than provide care—you'll brighten lives, build meaningful relationships, and help older adults remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their own homes.
Every visit is an opportunity to make someone's day a little easier, a little brighter, and a lot more meaningful. You'll also become part of a supportive team that families trust with the people they love most.
If you're compassionate, dependable, and passionate about helping others, we'd love to have you on our team.
Why Senior Helpers?
We're a Great Place to Work® Certified company — and 91% of our employees agree. We invest in your growth, support your work-life balance, and make sure you never feel like you're on your own. Our caregivers are the heart of what we do, and we treat them that way.
Senior Helpers has been a trusted national leader in in-home senior care since 2002. Learn more at www.seniorhelpers.com.
What You'll Do
The Caregiver will support clients with everyday activities that promote independence and quality of life — including bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, meal preparation, light housekeeping, errands, transportation, grocery shopping, medication reminders, and organizing daily routines. This role also includes providing companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall well-being of each client. The Caregiver will follow individualized care plans and keep the care team informed of any changes in the client's condition or needs.
We'll set you up for success from day one — with hands-on onboarding, orientation, and skills training tailored to your clients' needs. For those working with clients living with dementia, Alzheimer's, or Parkinson's, we offer industry-leading specialized training to make sure you feel confident and prepared.
What We're Looking For
We’re seeking a compassionate and dependable professional who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others. Our ideal candidate will:
Be certified CPR and first aid (or willingness to get certified)
Have a recent tuberculosis (TB) test or chest X-ray
Be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screening
Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work independently
Manage schedules effectively while providing exceptional client-centered care
Bring a caring, patient, and positive attitude to every client interaction
Preferred Qualification
We believe great caregivers deserve flexibility, support, and competitive pay. We offer:
Competitive pay ranging from $18-$22/hour based on experience and qualifications
Available shifts including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and live-in assignments
401(k) retirement plan to help support your future goals
Comprehensive medical, dental, and life insurance benefits
Opportunities to grow with a supportive and mission-driven team
