About The Role
Senior Helpers West Jacksonville provides compassionate in-home care services that allow seniors to age safely and independently in their homes. Our scheduling team is the backbone of our operations — ensuring clients always have reliable coverage and caregivers are supported in real time.
We are seeking a Full-Time Scheduler to manage high-volume caregiver and client scheduling in a fast-paced, phone-intensive environment. This role requires quick thinking, professionalism, and the ability to prioritize multiple calls and coverage needs simultaneously. The Scheduler serves as the primary point of contact for caregivers and clients regarding schedules, call-outs, and urgent coverage situations. This position includes rotating on-call phone responsibilities, including evenings and weekends.
Core Responsibilities
Manage high-volume incoming and outgoing calls professionally and efficiently.
Coordinate and adjust caregiver schedules to ensure full client coverage.
Respond immediately to last-minute call-outs, shift changes, and emergency coverage.
Communicate schedule updates clearly with caregivers, clients, and families.
Anticipate staffing gaps and problem-solve coverage proactively.
Maintain accurate, real-time updates in scheduling software.
Carry and respond to the rotating on-call phone as assigned.
Work closely with leadership to support daily operations and scheduling efficiency.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of six months in a customer service or phone-intensive role.
Ability to manage high call volume while remaining calm and professional.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal communication skills, especially over the phone.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and web-based scheduling systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and active auto insurance.
Must pass a drug screening.
Level 2 background screening through Florida’s Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse required.
