Senior Helpers is seeking two compassionate and dependable Live-In Caregivers to staff a 24/7 dementia care case for a senior client who has recently relocated to South Carolina to be closer to family.
This case will ideally be covered by 2 caregivers who can split the week, providing consistency, reliability, and ongoing support for the client in a comfortable home environment.
The client is living with dementia and requires caregivers who can provide safety supervision, mobility assistance, companionship, and gentle guidance throughout daily routines. We are looking for caregivers who are calm, patient, attentive, and experienced with memory care.
The client enjoys listening to classical music and values feeling safe, healthy, and comfortable in her home.
Care Needs Include:
- 24/7 safety supervision and support
- Assistance with mobility and fall prevention
- Stand-by assistance while ambulating
- Support with daily routines and personal care reminders
- Dementia-friendly companionship and engagement
- Monitoring for confusion and wandering risks
- Creating a calm, structured, and reassuring environment
Important Client Information:
- Client uses a cane regularly and may also use a walker or wheelchair as needed
- Client has cognitive decline/dementia and requires patient, understanding care
- One cat in the home — caregiver must ensure garage door is closed before entering the home to prevent cat from escaping
- No smoking
- Family is highly involved and supportive
Schedule:
- This is a 24/7 live-in care case
- Family would ideally like 2 caregivers who can rotate and split the week
- Start of care is ASAP
- Immediate availability is strongly preferred
Ideal Caregiver:
- Experienced with dementia or memory care clients
- Calm, compassionate, and dependable
- Safety-focused and attentive
- Comfortable assisting with mobility and supervision
- Able to adapt to changing client needs and routines
- Comfortable around cats
