We are a leading provider of senior living and care services, and we're looking for an experienced, compassionate Director of Nursing Services to join our leadership team.
SUMMARY:
As Director of Nursing Services, you will plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of our Nursing Department in accordance with all federal, state, and local standards and regulations. As a key member of our leadership team, you will ensure our residents receive the highest quality of care at all times.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement policies and procedures that keep the nursing department running effectively and efficiently
Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care
Participate in facility surveys and help develop action plans to correct any identified deficiencies
Monitor medication passes and treatment schedules to ensure medications are administered as ordered
Provide direct nursing care as needed
Coordinate continuing education and in-service training for nursing staff
Maintain the confidentiality of all resident care information
QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered Nurse with a current, unencumbered state license
At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a long-term care facility
Current CPR certification
Strong knowledge of nursing and medical practices and procedures
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to move throughout the building during the workday
Ability to manage the mental and emotional demands of a leadership role in healthcare
Ability to push, pull, move, and/or lift at least 25 lbs.
