Position Description

In this role, you’ll ensure the performance, availability, and security of mission-critical data systems, while helping shape scalable, modern storage architecture. You’ll collaborate across infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity, and application teams to drive reliability, automation, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.
What You’ll Do
Administer & Optimize Storage Systems
- Manage enterprise SAN, NAS, and cloud storage platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Perform provisioning, replication, migration, and lifecycle management
- Monitor storage performance, capacity, and availability
- Identify and resolve hardware, connectivity, and latency issues
- Support backup, recovery, and archival solutions (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, Rubrik)
- Maintain and test disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) plans
- Partner with virtualization, database, cloud, and security teams
- Support infrastructure initiatives and system integrations
- Enforce access controls, data security, and compliance standards
- Contribute to audits and governance initiatives
- Improve efficiency through scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, Ansible)
- Recommend enhancements to scalability, resilience, and cost optimization
- Maintain clear runbooks, architecture diagrams, and procedures
- Participate in on-call rotation for critical systems support
- 3 years of experience in enterprise storage administration
- SAN/NAS technologies
- Storage protocols: Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, SMB/CIFS
- Backup & recovery solutions
- Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)
- Performance tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning
- Solid understanding of: High availability (HA), disaster recovery, and data protection
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Experience with leading platforms: Dell EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage, HPE Nimble, IBM Storage
- Cloud expertise: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud storage services
- Familiarity with tools like: Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, Rubrik
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) or automation
- Relevant certifications: NetApp NCDA, Dell EMC Proven Professional, VMware VCP, AWS/Azure certs
