Pay Rate:$50 - $53.75/hr
Position Description
Join a leading technology solutions provider supporting the Federal government as a Senior Security Engineer on a 12-month contract role, with the potential for extension. This hybrid position requires 2-3 days per week onsite at our client’s Beltsville, MD office. As a key member of the security team, you will support the deployment, management, and optimization of Network Detection and Response (NDR) capabilities, focusing on Darktrace NDR appliances, in a high-stakes, mission-critical environment. You will engage in all phases of systems engineering, including planning, integration, validation, and lifecycle management, ensuring robust security posture and operational excellence. You will translate complex customer and operational requirements into effective solutions, collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to continuous security improvements.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead deployment, configuration, and operational management of Darktrace NDR appliances.
- Analyze network security events to support threat detection and incident response.
- Troubleshoot security platform issues and recommend improvements.
- Conduct systems engineering activities across the entire lifecycle, including design, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
- Perform risk, supportability, and performance analyses; develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, network, operations, and program management teams to ensure seamless system integration and operational success.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- 5 years of hands-on experience in systems engineering lifecycle and security engineering.
- Proven expertise with Network Detection and Response (NDR) tools like Darktrace.
- Active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a High Risk Public Trust clearance.
