Position Description

The Maintenance Technician will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across building systems, ensuring facilities remain safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective repairs on building systems, equipment, and infrastructure
- Troubleshoot and repair issues across multiple trades, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities, assets, and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance
- Execute minor electrical repairs (fixtures, switches, outlets, lighting components) in accordance with safety regulations
- Complete plumbing repairs, including leak fixes, fixture replacements, and drain maintenance
- Perform carpentry and painting work, including drywall repair and finishing to maintain a professional facility appearance
- Maintain cleanliness of facilities through light groundskeeping and housekeeping duties
- Accurately document work orders, time tracking, and maintenance activities using a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Source and manage materials and supplies needed to complete assigned tasks
- Participate in safety training programs and adhere to all workplace safety standards and compliance requirements
- Build positive working relationships through professional, customer-facing interactions
- High School Diploma, GED, or completion of a technical/trade school program (or equivalent experience)
- 2–5 years of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or mechanical repair
- Hands-on experience with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building systems
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and CMMS platforms (Corrigo experience is a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, safety procedures, and work orders
- Proficiency using mobile devices (tablets, smartphones) for work order management
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders
- Valid driver’s license (if applicable)
- Experience in commercial or industrial facilities maintenance
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems and troubleshooting
- Exposure to compliance standards and safety regulations
