Position Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Risk Analyst to join a high-impact HR Data Governance and Risk team. This role focuses on identifying, analyzing, and mitigating risks related to data privacy, data quality, data governance, and regulatory compliance across enterprise HR systems.
You will partner with business, IT, and compliance teams to strengthen data governance frameworks, enhance reporting, and ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA). This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong analytics, Power BI/Tableau, and data governance experience looking to work in a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, assess, and mitigate data risks related to data quality, privacy, and usage
- Support data governance frameworks, policies, and standards across HR systems
- Build and maintain dashboards, scorecards, and reports using Power BI or Tableau
- Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA)
- Conduct data analysis, root cause investigations, and remediation tracking
- Maintain data risk registers, control gaps, and issue tracking workflows
- Partner with stakeholders (business, IT, legal, compliance) to drive data accountability
- Support data quality monitoring, validation rules, and issue resolution processes
- Document data lineage, critical data elements, and controls
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data risk and governance processes
Required Skills/Education:
- 3 years of experience in data analytics, data governance, data quality, or risk analysis
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI or Tableau
- Proficiency working with large datasets, reporting, and data analysis
- Experience with data governance concepts (data lineage, data controls, data ownership)
- Strong documentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to translate technical data insights into business context
- Experience working in regulated environments (financial services, healthcare, or public sector preferred)
- Familiarity with tools such as ServiceNow, GRC platforms, or data catalogs is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
