Position Title: Communications Specialist
Client: Estes Express Lines
Location: 3901 W Broad St. Richmond, VA 23230
Schedule: Hybrid (after training) M-Friday (8am - 5pm)
Work Status: USC / GCH
Position Status: 6-8 month contract
Pay Rate: $22/hr

Responsibilities: Will be responsible for posting created media, maintaining content posting calendars, tracking analytics of content posts from strategic areas such as HR Recruitment, Field Operations, Sales, Safety, etc. This position reports to a Manager, Employee Engagement and Communications and supports the department in successfully executing Company strategies.

- Strong communicator – must confidently present to executive leadership
- Digital comms experience – social media, content posting, analytics
- Highly organized – manage calendars, deadlines, multiple projects
- Employee engagement focus – recognition & internal communications
- Professional & reliable – able to support leadership and work independently
- Must pass BGI and Drug Screen (random drug/alc tests)
Responsibilities: Will be responsible for posting created media, maintaining content posting calendars, tracking analytics of content posts from strategic areas such as HR Recruitment, Field Operations, Sales, Safety, etc. This position reports to a Manager, Employee Engagement and Communications and supports the department in successfully executing Company strategies.
- Post content and responses to appropriate social media accounts and/or internal communications platforms
- Provide support, coordination, and administrative activities related to internal and external communications
- Provide content curation for digital and print communications campaigns
- Generate reports, track communication platform reviews, and complete administrative tasks related to a variety of communication platforms (intranet, digital signage, social media, survey tools, websites, blogs).
- Track metrics and generate reports related to various digital communications platforms
- Maintain various content calendars and communications schedules
- Assist in the production of large-scale internal events
- Proactively support the Employee Engagement & Communications team’s needs in executing communication plans and strategies
- Printing and fulfillment of large-scale printing projects and mailing label list development, as assigned
- Provide administrative support for managing vendor payments, as assigned
- Write and/or proof internal and external communications announcements
- Associate’s degree, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, English or Graphic Design, or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of social media and/or digital communication platforms is required
- Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required
- Must be organized and be able to handle multiple tasks at once
- Must be able to effectively communicate (verbal, written and listening)
- Must be able to follow directions, work under supervision, and be flexible
- 1 year of work experience in communications preferred
- Able to work within tight deadlines and efficiently complete assignments while keeping a focus on accuracy and details
- Creative thinker who has an eye for detail and style
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, random drug and/or alcohol tests, and will be subject to a criminal history background check
