Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and monitor operating and capital budgets to ensure proper allocation and compliance with financial policies and accounting standards.
- Review requisitions and financial documentation for accuracy, appropriate coding, and correct capital vs. expense classification.
- Process and track requisitions, purchase orders, and financial transactions using Oracle ERP and related financial systems.
- Perform variance analysis and provide clear financial insights and reporting to stakeholders.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation supporting financial reviews and transaction decisions.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to provide financial guidance and resolve budget or procurement-related inquiries.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements that enhance financial operations and reporting accuracy.
- Support financial compliance initiatives and promote best practices across teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial transaction workflows.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis.
- Experience analyzing budgets, general ledger accounts, and financial classifications.
- Demonstrated ability to distinguish and apply correct GL account treatment and financial categorization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Experience working across multiple systems and quickly learning new financial tools.
- Experience with Oracle ERP (Procurement or Financial modules).
- Knowledge of capital vs. expense accounting treatment within enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with Apptio or Technology Business Management (TBM) tools.
- Experience supporting technology, IT, or operational business units.
- Background in general ledger accounting, journal entries, or chart of accounts management.
