Network Administrator II
Location: Onsite (Potential for Limited Telework Based on Customer Needs)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Network Administrator II to support a large-scale enterprise IT environment. This role is responsible for maintaining secure, reliable network infrastructure and telecommunications systems while ensuring optimal performance across LAN/WAN environments. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting enterprise networks, troubleshooting connectivity issues, and administering network hardware and software in a secure government environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and support network hardware including routers, switches, firewalls, and telecommunications equipment.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve connectivity issues.
- Perform routine maintenance, system upgrades, and patch management on network devices.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of secure network architectures.
- Analyze network performance and recommend improvements to maximize availability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Evaluate hardware and software requirements and provide recommendations for upgrades, replacements, and new technologies.
- Assist with network documentation, inventory management, and configuration management.
- Work closely with systems administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and engineering teams to support enterprise IT operations.
- Respond to network outages and support after-hours or weekend maintenance activities when required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable security policies, standards, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Experience administering enterprise LAN/WAN environments.
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco or similar enterprise networking equipment.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and network protocols.
- Experience supporting enterprise telecommunications infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience installing, maintaining, and upgrading network hardware and software.
- Ability to document network configurations and operational procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- CompTIA Security or other DoD 8570/8140 compliant certification.
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP.
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Familiarity with virtualization and cloud networking concepts.
- Experience supporting government or military IT environments.
- Knowledge of network security best practices, STIGs, and vulnerability remediation.
