Associate Scientist

Position Title: Associate Scientist

Location: 100% onsite in Richmond, VA

Hire Type: Contract (12-Month)

Job Description:

Job Duties:

• Prepare liquid, solid, and other required formulations, and prototypes according to instructions.
• Prepare analytical samples and operate analytical instruments according to SOPs and instructions with minimal supervision.
• Independently conduct material characterization and prototype testing, according to SOPs and instructions.
• Handle pure nicotine according to SOP; prepare nicotine solution according to instructions.
• Working on different material processing, following instructions as per SOP.
• Assist Principal Scientists with prototyping and 3D printed.
• Assist in the installation and routine maintenance of instruments, apparatus, and equipment.
• Upon request, independently conduct literature survey, create design of experiments, execute according to the plan, and summarize results.
• Adhere to safety procedures and protocols to conduct chemistry, ingredient handling, material processing, and testing experiments.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineering, or related scientific degree required
• 1-3 years Experience
