Seneca Foods Corporation’s Glencoe, MN facility, is currently seeking Compressor Room Mechanic to join our team. In Glencoe, we do it all! We have a full time Labeling department, Frozen Corn on the Cob Packaging department, Field Reps to meet with local growers, and many Mechanics who make it possible to run a successful production! The Glencoe facility focuses on primarily Canning and Freezing, Peas, Lima Beans, Sweet Corn and Carrots. Our Peak Production season typically starts mid-June and wraps up mid-November.

Responsibilities:
- Maintaining safe operation of all freezers and refrigeration equipment
- Regulating product flow to maximize freezer output and insure product quality
- Repair and maintenance of all freezing related equipment, operating cold storage buildings, and perform maintenance in other areas of the plant as needed.
- Tunnel Operator duties include operating freezers and compressors, performing water testing, cleaning freezers and removing ice
- Ensures that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and safety rules/ regulations are being followed and enforced
- Accurate and timely record keeping; including preparation and follow-up on issues in a timely manner
- Employee relations/ supervision and training of seasonal staff in work area
- Other duties as assigned
- Must have good attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness and ability to work and function in a team environment.
- Good communication skills.
- Good mechanical repair and trouble shooting skills
- Willingness and ability to work and function in a team environment
- Must be willing to attend night classes in refrigeration
- Will be expected to join the emergency response team
