What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crisis Clinician / Social Worker position at Seneca Family of Agencies?

The Crisis Clinician provides family-based mental health counseling, therapy, and case management services to children and families. They conduct assessments of needs, safety planning, and crisis intervention as needed. In addition, Crisis Clinicians link the youth to further mental health services if needed, such as Wraparound, psychotherapy, support groups, and other community services.
ABOUT ASPIRE STRTP
The Aspire STRTP (Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program) is a highly individualized residential program that provides relational, trauma-informed therapeutic support and services to foster youth with complex placement and behavioral health needs. Youth receive comprehensive and intensive mental health services in a nurturing home environment for up to 6 months from a multidisciplinary team before transitioning to a sustainable alternative placement.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the clinical lead and work with the treatment team to provide crisis intervention and other mental health services as needed.
- Provide counseling, therapy, and case management services to ensure the successful transition of clients and their families to other community-based resources.
- Participate in all treatment reviews, program staff meetings, and additional meetings when necessary.
- Coordinate with necessary collateral contacts, including caregivers and family members as needed.
- Work with treatment team to determine course of action for follow-up services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community members and providers.
- Participate in on-call system as needed.
- Complete progress notes and other paperwork, and complete service tracking documentation as indicated.
- Participate in weekly supervision with the program supervisor or designee.
- Flexible schedule with ability to work evenings, weekends, and provide on-call coverage as needed
REQUIRED
- Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work required.
- Eligible to register with the BBS.
- Strong communication skills and flexibility.
- Flexible schedule with the ability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to work as a team player.
- Ability to work with diverse population.
- Valid CA driver’s license and insurable under Seneca Family of Agencies insurance policy.
- Clearance of TB test, fingerprints, and any other mandatory State/Federal licensing or certification requirements.
PREFERRED
- Experience implementing family-focused mobile response services.
- Experience working with children/youth and families with complex and enduring needs.
Schedule
- Full-time:
- Monday-Friday; 9am-5pm

- Starting at $71,080 - 85,080 per year. Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications.
