We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Front-End Lead to support daily front-end operations. This role partners with the Front-End Manager to ensure excellent customer service, accurate cash handling, and a positive, well-organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising cashiers and baggers to ensure efficient, friendly checkout
- Maintain strong customer relations and promptly resolve service issues
- Ensure accurate scanning, proper tender and coupon handling, and policy compliance
- Support daily bookkeeping, cashier balancing, safe counts, and deposits
- Monitor labor coverage and adjust staffing to customer volume
- Assist with training, coaching, and performance management of front-end staff
- Maintain front-end cleanliness, safety, and security standards
- Perform cashiering, customer service, and bagging duties as needed
Qualifications
- Previous retail or grocery experience preferred
- Leadership or supervisory experience a plus
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills
- Comfortable with cash handling and basic reports
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Lift up to 50 lbs; push/pull up to 200 lbs
