Duties
- Provide hands-on nursing care, including medication administration, IV infusion, wound care, and vital signs monitoring.
- Lead and coordinate nursing staff during weekend shifts, ensuring adherence to care plans and safety protocols.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations to inform treatment plans.
- Manage emergency situations with confidence, utilizing airway management skills and acute pain management techniques.
- Assist with specialized procedures like catheterization, tube feeding, venipuncture, and sterile processing when necessary.
Experience
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current state licensing requirements fulfilled.
- Demonstrated experience in long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, or skilled nursing environments.
- Experience in managing patients with complex needs including Alzheimer’s/dementia care, infectious disease control, hospice care, or behavioral health is highly valued.
- Strong assessment skills in geriatrics, ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
