Primary Purpose
Acts as an authority on corporate development. Leads high‑impact transactions end‑to‑end, sets adviser engagement models, and ensures credible synergy capture plans. Aligns inorganic growth with divisional ambition and risk appetite.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Defines a divisional transaction roadmap and investment priorities; sequences opportunities and resources.
  • Leads transformational or complex deals from thesis through closing; owns outcomes across functions.
  • Advises executives on capital allocation choices and risk‑adjusted returns; prepares decision briefs and board materials.
  • Sets adviser selection and fee structures; evaluates performance against outcome metrics.
  • Resolves escalated negotiation and diligence issues; brokers alignment among stakeholders.
  • Approves integration charters and readiness plans; ensures synergy tracking and accountability.
  • Represents the organization in strategic partner, investor, and regulator engagements.
  • Mentors senior staff and builds the corporate development talent bench.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education

  • Typically requires a 4-year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.

Experience

  • Typically requires 10 years of related experience.
  • Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate upon hire.

  • Mergers and Acquisitions - Mergers and acquisitions are transactions in which the ownership of companies, other business organizations, or their operating units are transferred or consolidated with other entities.
  • Commercial Negotiation - The planning, reviewing, analysis and other activities that a buyer and seller conduct to reach an agreement.
  • Project Management - The process of leading the work of a team to achieve goals and meet success criteria at a specified time.
  • Market Analysis - Analyzing competing products, services, and organizations in the external business environment.
  • Relationship Management - Develops, strengthens, and maintains productive business relationships by proactively engaging stakeholders, fostering trust, and ensuring the customer experience remains consistent across every interaction.
  • Financial Modeling and Valuation - Designing mathematical models and analyzing data to estimate the financial performance and value of a company or investment, involves analyzing historical financial data, projecting future scenarios, and applying valuation methods to determine fair value.
  • Investment Due Diligence - The process of extensive and intensive research to evaluate an investment decision, considering all possibilities and verifying the information used it involves looking into the background, financial history, and details of an asset.
