Primary Purpose
Responsible for performing high level, complex financial and accounting assignments and related analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs a wide spectrum of financial and accounting assignments with minimal technical direction, including but not limited to:
- Manages the monthly accounting close process for various entities.
- Reviewing and understanding complex financial models for Long Term Service Agreements (LTSA) at Sempra Generation.
- Collaborates with other professionals within various departments (such as Tax, Business Planning, Financial Reporting, Auditing) to ensure accurate financial data is presented across the company.
- Prepares and maintaining appropriate documentation for SOX compliance.
- Makes recommendations concerning operational and accounting issues within area of responsibility.
- Occasionally travels to the power plants will be required.
- Performs other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Accounting or Economics.
- 8 Public and/or professional accounting or equivalent training and/or experience.
- Ability to research and document technical accounting issues, proficient in the use of Excel Word, and communicate complex accounting issues clearly and concisely to Sr Management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
- Certified Management Accountant (CMA)

Salary : $112,200 - $168,300
