Overview
The HR & Administrative Support Specialist plays a key role in supporting daily human resources and administrative functions within the company. This position assists with recruiting and onboarding, maintaining employee records, supporting compliance efforts, and providing general office and administrative support. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
Objective/Purpose
As HR/Administrative Assistant you will be assisting Semper Tek’s Corporate Business Team and Executives in an abundance of HR and Administrative responsibilities.
Roles/Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruiting activities including job postings, candidate communication, and scheduling interviews.
- Assist with new hire onboarding, ensuring all documentation is complete and company policies are communicated.
- Support a variety of projects and tasks focused on employee engagement and retention.
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Corporate Business Team and/or other leadership staff.
- Answer and route phone calls, handle mail, and maintain office supplies and inventory.
- Support the planning and execution of corporate events and initiatives.
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks including drafting letters, memos, reports, and other documents for the corporate business team.
- Provide support throughout HR and General Admin on special projects, tasks, and initiatives as needed.
Skills Required:
- High school diploma required, bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration or related field or equivalent work experience in Human Resources.
- 2 years of experience in Human Resources
- Knowledge of basic HR practices, employment laws, and recordkeeping requirements
- Ability to work on site full-time out of Lexington corporate office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and familiarity with Microsoft Teams
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion while maintaining a high level of professionalism and strict confidentiality.
Skills Preferred:
- 3-5 years of experience
- Experience coordinating recruitment, onboarding, or training activities
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and achieve goals
- Problem-solving skills and proactive approach to administrative challenges
- Proficient in InDesign and Canva
Physical Qualifications:
Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing for long periods of time
Light to medium work that includes moving objects between 20-50 pounds
Communicate with others to exchange information
Repeating motions that may include wrist, hands, and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, and controls.

Terms and Conditions:
Exemption Status: Exempt
This is a full-time, salaried position, requiring a standard 40-hour work week. Typical business hours are Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Work location will be in our Lexington corporate office.
