Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Project Manager role based in Tallahassee, FL. The Project Manager will oversee residential and commercial painting projects from planning through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Daily responsibilities include coordinating schedules, managing subcontractors and in-house crews, and organizing materials and equipment for each job. The role involves conducting site walks, inspections, and quality checks, as well as addressing issues proactively to maintain safety and workmanship standards. The Project Manager will also serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and supporting a smooth, professional customer experience.
Qualifications
- Project coordination and oversight skills, including Project Management experience and the ability to manage multiple jobs simultaneously.
- Experience with Expediting and working as an Expeditor to ensure materials, permits, and resources are available when needed.
- Logistics Management skills to organize crews, equipment, and schedules efficiently across multiple sites.
- Inspection experience to monitor job progress, verify quality standards, and ensure compliance with safety and company guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients, crews, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Proven experience in construction, painting, or related trades, with an understanding of field operations and jobsite safety practices.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Proficiency with basic project management and communication tools (e.g., spreadsheets, scheduling software, email, mobile apps).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between job sites in the Tallahassee area.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or certifications in construction management or project management are a plus.
