Overview

The Accounting Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, reporting, and budgeting for Globe Entertainment & Media Corp. (GEMC) entity, the Hard Rock Loyalty Program (Unity), and the Hard Rock Experience (HRX) divisions. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial standards, and driving efficiency in reporting and reconciliation processes.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage general accounting functions, including accounts receivable and general ledger oversight.• Perform and support balance sheet reconciliations, financial analysis, and complex journal entries.• Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with internal and external reporting requirements.• Reconcile and manage Unity (Loyalty) program liabilities, including posting journal entries and accounts receivable transactions.• Drive the accurate and timely publication of Profit & Loss (P&L) statements for GEMC entity, Unity, and HRX divisions.• Assess existing financial practices and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency.• Collaborate with department heads on budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow projections.• Coordinate external audit processes and ensure timely compliance with auditor requirements.• Maintain detailed cost tracking for strategic initiatives, including archive digitization, licensing programs, product development, and exhibitions.• Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Archive teams to ensure accurate forecasting and revenue tracking across multiple business streams.• Lead and execute departmental projects from inception to implementation.• Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and provide data-driven insights for leadership.• Ensure adherence to financial policies, GAAP/IFRS standards, and internal control measures.• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, those listed above. Qualifications

Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

• Master’s degree in accounting as well as minimum seven (7) years of accounting and leadership experience or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license preferred.• Proven ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management, staff, and external business partners.• Strong expertise in financial reconciliation, journal entries, P&L review, and balance sheet reporting.• Detail-oriented with advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.• Proficiency in accounting software, including Infinium (AS400), Oracle, and Workday ERP systems (preferred).• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.• Ability to handle complex accounting concepts with minimal supervision and work effectively within strict deadlines.• In-depth knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and their practical application.
