Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support production employees during assigned shifts
- Build strong employee relationships through daily floor presence and communication
- Promote a positive work environment focused on respect, accountability, teamwork, and engagement
- Address employee concerns promptly and professionally while partnering with HR when needed
- Coach and mentor team members on performance, attendance, safety, and company expectations
- Assist with conflict resolution and corrective action processes
- Support employee retention initiatives and morale-building efforts
- Ensure production goals, quality standards, and safety expectations are consistently met
- Monitor staffing levels and assist with shift coverage planning
- Conduct shift meetings and communicate operational updates effectively
- Train and develop employees on policies, procedures, and production processes
- Maintain accurate production and employee documentation
- Promote compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and manufacturing standards
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, EHS, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations teams
- Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong employee relations and leadership skills required
- Experience handling employee coaching, performance discussions, and conflict resolution
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lead diverse teams in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of manufacturing safety practices and production operations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems preferred
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including 12-hour day/night shifts if needed
