osition Summary
We are seeking a caring, dependable, and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The Toddler Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment that supports the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth of children ages 1–3.
This role requires patience, consistency, strong communication skills, and a genuine passion for early childhood development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities aligned with early learning standards
- Provide a safe, clean, and nurturing classroom environment
- Supervise toddlers at all times, ensuring safety and well-being
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Assist with diapering, toileting, feeding, and other routine care needs
- Maintain accurate daily reports and documentation for each child
- Communicate professionally and consistently with parents regarding child progress and daily activities
- Follow all center policies, licensing regulations, and health & safety procedures
- Maintain required child-to-staff ratios at all times
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development
- Work collaboratively with directors, lead teachers, and support staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED (required)
- Previous experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare setting (preferred)
- Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate practices
- Ability to pass background check and meet state licensing requirements
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and engage in active play
Schedule & Compensation
- Pay: $14–$16 per hour (based on experience)
- Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week
- Days: Monday–Friday
