We are currently seeking a dedicated and nurturing Toddler Teacher to support our infant classroom at our beautiful East Cobb location.
As an Infant Assistant Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting the Lead Teacher in creating a warm, secure, and developmentally appropriate environment for infants aged 6 weeks to 12 months. You’ll help foster trusting relationships, provide attentive care, and contribute to the daily rhythms that help each child grow and thrive.
Duties
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Lead Teacher in the day-to-day care of infants, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and supporting sleep routines.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment aligned with Georgia DECAL and Quality Rated standards.
- Support the implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum that promotes sensory exploration, early communication, and gross motor development.
- Observe and document developmental milestones and communicate regularly with families.
- Follow all licensing and program guidelines related to health, safety, and sanitation.
- Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development, and training required for Quality Rated compliance.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; CDA or progress toward a credential in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire).
- Ability to meet all requirements under Georgia’s Bright from the Start and Quality Rated guidelines.
- Passion for early childhood education and the social-emotional well-being of young children.
