Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director, Alternative Education, prepare, maintain, modify, and evaluate manual and automated scholastic records related to the enrollment, graduation, or withdrawal of adult school students according to established policies and procedures; transcribe grades and student transcripts; evaluate records and update files with class credits and grades, and ensure that records are in compliance with graduation requirements for the Adult School program; maintain and archive academic records; and prepare for and administer tests required for funding allocations, placement, and evaluation of program performance.
Requirements / Qualifications
-Edjoin Application -Resume/Summary of Experience -Three (3) Letters of Recommendation Work Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 8 a.m. – 3:45 p.m. Thursday 8 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. As per the contract language in Article VIII, Section 1.A.1 Part-time unit members in the Adult School setting shall work a four- (4-) day work week, Monday through Thursday, with three days of work consisting of 7.25 hours per day and one day of work consisting of 7.0 hours per day. Said unit members shall not be entitled to a health/welfare benefits package.
Education and Experience: • Any combination equivalent to: graduation from high school supplemented by college level coursework in a related field and three years of student records experience. • Complete the Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment Systems (CASAS) training within six (6) weeks from the date of hire, required. • Pass the testing certification to be a CASAS tester within six (6) weeks from the date of hire, required; renew testing certification on an annual basis; required.
