Performs preparation of operating room and assists physician during surgery. Assists with patient care as delegated by RN in accordance with the medical plan of care, established SRH and Nursing Policies, and Standards Work. Performs preparation of birthing room, operating room, patients, and assists physician during delivery and surgery. Assists with patient care during labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum and antepartum as delegated by RN in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, established SRH and Nursing Policies, and Standards Work. Functions in a supportive role to communicate patient care needs and resolve work-related issues. Completes annual competency on unit specific Code A responsibilities. Annual competency on role in assisting RN with neonatal resuscitation. Performs any other job-related duties as requested by Nurse Manager or Department Director.
