What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Technologist II, Surgery Center of the Lakelands, Full Time, First Shift position at Self Regional?
Performs preparation of operating room, assists physician during surgery, and processes all instrument sets used in the operating room and in patient care. Assists with patient care in accordance with the medical plan of care established SMG, SRH and Nursing policies and Procedures/Protocols and Standards of Care. Performs direct assistant care, and wound closure as directed by the physician. Coordinates and delegates the care with/to other professionals and ancillary personnel. Assist with patient care during and after surgery as directed by physician. Assembles and delivers surgical case carts to distribution area. Initiates, monitors, and records various monitoring devices used in the quality control procedures for sterilization. Functions in a supportive role to communicate patient needs and resolve work-related issues. Highly engaged team member and patient advocate in the OR or office setting. Performs any other assigned duties per Surgeons, Practice Manager, and Department Director.
