Senior HRIS Analyst (Workday)
Location: San Diego, CA or San Antonio, TX
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (3 days onsite – mandatory)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior HRIS Analyst with strong Workday expertise to support, enhance, and optimize our HR systems. This role partners closely with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure Workday solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with organizational needs.
The ideal candidate brings a strong mix of functional HRIS knowledge, technical Workday expertise, and leadership experience to drive system improvements and support enterprise HR operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary point of contact for Workday configuration, support, and enhancements
- Configure and maintain Workday modules including HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, and Recruiting
- Build and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, and calculated fields
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable system solutions
- Support Workday integrations and collaborate with technical teams on design and troubleshooting
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance across HR systems
- Support Workday releases, testing cycles, and new feature deployments
- Partner with HR stakeholders to improve processes and drive system adoption
- Document configurations, workflows, and technical processes
- Provide guidance and support to HR users and stakeholders
Key Requirements
- 7 years of experience in information technology, software development, engineering, HRIS, or related fields
- 5 years of experience in integration development within Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, and Recruiting
- Workday implementation experience preferred
- 2 years of experience in a technical lead or senior technical role
- Hands-on experience configuring Workday HCM and other core modules
- Strong experience with Workday reporting (Advanced, Matrix, Composite Reports) and calculated fields
- Experience with Workday integrations (EIB, Core Connectors, APIs preferred)
- Strong understanding of HR processes, data structures, and system workflows
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor team members
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Must-Have Requirement
- Ability to work onsite 3 days per week in either San Diego, CA or San Antonio, TX (this is non-negotiable)
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday certifications (HCM, Integration, Payroll, or Reporting)
- Experience with Workday implementation projects
- Knowledge of Workday Prism Analytics
- Experience in large enterprise or global HR environments
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
